Breaking: GET /api/v1/search now returns the same JSON envelope as POST /api/v1/search — {request_id, duration_ms, select, results: [{rank, fields}]} — instead of a bare array. The projected fields are unchanged (url, title, description, language); read them from results[].fields. Queries containing control characters are now rejected with 400, matching POST.

Published the Agent API, model catalog, and query builder as shared REST and MCP capabilities. MCP now accepts OAuth only, and every agent-capable credential requires search:read together with agent:run. Added the BYOK setup guide and configured recovery links for missing provider keys.

Added end-to-end model-provider capacity errors for BYOK agent workflows. Direct provider throttling returns 429 with model_provider_rate_limited; direct temporary provider capacity exhaustion returns 503 with model_provider_overloaded. Background status errors carry the same reason and typed retry recovery while the status lookup remains 200. The existing standards-compatible Retry-After path is preserved, and agent errors expose the non-secret agent_session_id for correlation.

Launched the developer portal with a runnable Search API quickstart, generated OpenAPI reference, focused MCP client guides, raw Markdown pages, documentation search data, and LLM discovery files.

Added the authenticated API console. Console requests use the public Search API and follow normal billing, spend-limit, and rate-limit behavior.

Changelog policy

This log starts with the developer portal launch. It records material public contract, integration, and documentation changes from this date forward; it does not reconstruct earlier releases.

The generated Search API reference remains the source of truth for the current HTTP contract.
